Maintenance YOU CAN DO!
Need a repair? No worries, we got you, but you can handle some of the basics!

WASHER
A Smelly Washer?
Your front-load washer door boot seal requires regular cleaning. The seal is the rubber piece around the drum you see when you open the door. Without maintenance, mold can build up in the seal as it is often warm and moist. Lack of maintenance can result in smelly clothes or expensive boot seal replacement. Cleaning with a bleach-based cleanser and leaving the door open to dry will slow and possibly prevent this buildup.

DRYER
Too Hot in the Dryer
You can do a lot to maintain your dryer by cleaning the lint trap before and after each use. At a minimum, have your dryer venting cleaned annually. The degree of lint buildup inside your vent depends on how many loads are dried each week. Lint and dust can also gather inside the dryer itself, which causes components to wear and overheat. Neglecting this maintenance can result in a fire inside the dryer!

OVEN
Avoid Your Oven’s Self-Clean Feature
The excess heat can escape the oven cavity and cause damage to the main control board, resulting in an expensive repair. Keep the surface burner vent (where gas escapes) free of spillage and blockage, which causes irregular gas flow and a faulty burner.

FRIDGE
Don’t Overwork Your Fridge
The condenser coils at the back of your fridge at the bottom, must be kept clean and free of dust and lint. Failure to maintain the coils can cause the compressor to overwork, and damage can occur, resulting in an expensive repair.
